most of the time the threads are invisible
a family in name not appearance
individuals held together by blood
nothing more
nothing less
then there are days like this
when everything falls apart
when we individually disintegrate
and reform as one, whole
made of broken pieces
but whole
nothing more
nothing less

I love this. The idea of crisis bringing together the broken bits that could be joined in no other way.
I hope, for you, that it does. In my experience, it never has.
Somehow, for my family, it does. Probably because the pieces do, in some way, already fit together, they are not completely disparate.
Christ. I just noticed you are 22.
Stop being so wise this instant, young lady!
Ani, definitely no wisdom to be found here. Perhaps a hard-learnt long list of things not to do, but no wisdom.
The broken glued together thing may be less beautiful than it could be, but it's still better than separate shards. I think.
Beautiful, and not just this post.
OE
melograna - yes, it may not be a masterpiece but at least it is a mess that in some way or another fits together.
oe - welcome, and thank you.
